After our university campus shifted, I had to commute a lot and carrying a laptop with me all the time on trains and throughout the day was putting a strain on my shoulders. I decided to get myself a laptop bag and I wanted to get one that had two straps because that helps in balancing the weight on both shoulders instead of one.
After searching for the right bag, I narrowed down my choices and was left with Lowepro Fastpack 350 and another laptop bag. After reading some positive things about Lowepro’s bag, I decided to purchase it.
The price of the bag is a little expensive because I didn’t want a bag to put my camera stuff in. I have a very simple and small sized cybershot camera so the only reason I wanted to get the bag was for my laptop. However, I paid for it anyway.
After I got it, I instantly loved the design of the bag. It is very simple yet very cool. The all black color pretty much compliments my apparel most of the time. Additionally, there are no unnecessary pockets here and there. It is pretty simple but very cool to carry around.
Apart from the design, I love how this bag is adequately spaced to carry a laptop. I have a Dell Inspiron and most of the laptops from the Inspiron series are a little heavy and big sized. However, I had no issues whatsoever in putting my laptop inside and closing the zipper. Moreover, the bag is very comfortable to hold.
The entire purpose of getting the bag was to be able to move around comfortably and not hurt my back and shoulders. After getting the bag and using it for several weeks, I have to admit that it is extremely comfortable to hold. The two straps are an added advantage. The straps are cushiony and rest extremely well on my shoulders. I don’t even feel like I have a bag on even though I commute a lot and walk a lot on campus.
Previously, when I didn’t have a laptop bag, carrying weight with me at all times (laptop and books) put a strain on my back and shoulders. I started hunching because of it but ever since I have got this bag, I no longer hunch and I don’t feel any strain on my back or shoulders at all.
The Lowepro Fastpack laptop bag is also great in size for me. I am 5’7 and it hangs very well on my shoulders. However, I think a lot of people might have issues with its length because it will not suit shorter people well. I say this because my younger brother tried it (he is 5’4) and the bag literally hanged and he couldn’t walk properly with it because he felt like something is dropping off his back. I recommend the bag for those who are at least 5’6 or beyond but not for shorter users. If you however want to buy it anyway, I would suggest you to first go and try the back out at a store (find out any store that is selling it) and then buy it because the bag is not cheap and you will regret wasting your money on it if it doesn’t fit you well.
Additionally, the other compartments in the bag are also very handy for me as I don’t use them for my camera parts or the camera itself. I usually put my stationary and some small notepads or books in them
and they adjust perfectly in the compartments. After getting the back, I no longer carry an actual female bag with me because all that I need to take to university fits very well in this bag.
I love this multipurpose laptop bag and I would recommend it to all those people who have been looking for a laptop bag.
